GEEK+
Before a GEEK+ system is built, the floor on which the system will operate must meet both flatness and levelness requirements.
As with the areas for AutoStore or Exotec systems, DABROS Floor Surveys Ltd offers a full service to prepare the floor for the GEEK+ system. The ultra-precise measuring equipment used to test the floor parameters, and the experience gained over many years, guarantee that during the construction of the system, the floor will meet the requirements of the GEEK+ system in 100%, and thus the likelihood of problems occurring during the installation of the system is reduced to zero.
In addition, and most importantly, any failure of the system due to construction on an inadequately prepared floor is eliminated, guaranteeing continuous operation and failure-free system performance.
Installation of the GEEK+ system runs smoothly on floors that meet the FM2 TR34 2013 and DIN 15185 specifications.
The measurement is carried out using a precision leveller with a reading accuracy of up to 0.1mm, where the compliance of the floor with the TR34 requirements is checked, or by means of a super-precise 3D scanner, which further increases the precision of the entire floor profile. In addition, the aisles between the shelves are also subjected to an evenness test. This is measured using the high-precision DABROS Digital Floor Profiler, where compliance with DIN15185 or TR34 specifications is checked.
Depending on the GEEK+ robot used (RS5, RS8 or RS11), areas exceeding the permissible limits of a given specification are corrected by a grinding process to the requirements of the system.
Our preferred method of measuring the alleys in which the GEEK+ robots move is to measure them to DIN15185, because it catches longitudinal undulations (ripples in the floor), so that sudden depressions or convexities that may cause unwanted vibrations to the GEEK+ robots are eliminated.
With the results of the floor measurement, we analyse the data, based on which, we are able to precisely identify the areas that need to be corrected by grinding.
